Am I a victim of abuse?

Me and my boyfriend have been on a rocky road lately and we got into a big fight last night. I told him that I had enough of him and that I did want to be with him anymore. He got upset that I didn't want to talk to him and that I wouldn't let him explain himself. The Next day the argument continued and he got upset that I wouldn't take him back although he explained to me what happend (a bunch of excuses) he got emotional and then he got upset and then he took my keys and my cell phone and told me that I couldn't leave the apartment. When I finally got them back. I got in my car and he got in with me, when I got into the city he yelled and screamed and took me keys and phone again and didn't let me leave until i answered his questions. He was throwing things in my car yelling hitting things tried to puncture my tires swearing he grabbed the keys from my hand and cut me and grabbed my phone when I attempted to call for help. I feel really hurt and confused and was just wondering if this was a form of abuse because it shore feels like it.
