Anyone know this movie ?

TV movie from the late 80's or early 90's. Two teenage boys meet at summer camp -- one is kinda nerdy and wears huge glasses. The other kid keeps talking about how great his home life is and convinces the nerdy guy to come and stay at his house. Then we learn that he was lying and really wanted someone to help him kill his abusive father. The nerdy kid shoots both parents dead and ends up in prison while the other kid goes free on a plea bargain. As I recall, he ratted him out. There is a scene where an older inmate makes threatening remarks toward the nerdy kid from the next cell and the kid manages to punch him thru the bars.
