Keypad lock help on LG900G?

When I'm on the main screen and my phone is on keypad lock, I will press "unlock." It says to press "yes," which I do, but then I'll have to wait about 3 seconds for it to really be unlocked. However, when I'm on keypad lock on any other screen, I press "unlock" and "yes" and it will be unlocked immediately. I really don't like this 3-second wait.. is there a way to fix it?
