What kind of connector do you need for a 12 digit keypad?

I have a flat ribbon cable that I need to fit through a 3/4 inch flex conduit but the connector is too big to fit through the conduit. So I want to cut off the connector and then put a new connector back on after I get it through the conduit. It is a 7 conductor cable with pins that come off of the back of the keypad.
