How do i connect my htc wildifire phone to the computer?

I don't know how to connect my htc wildfire phone to the computer because whenever i connect it to the computer it comes up as "put a disc in" but i don't have the disc it came with my phone i don't know why i didn't get one. But i also want to connect it to itunes too please help me. Have you got any ideas.
