If a guy does not text you does that mean he does not like you?

I have a crush on this guy, and lately we have been talking a lot a joking around a lot in person. The other day when I pulled out my phone he said "oh I don't have your number, hook me up". I gave him my number but he hasn't texted me. Does that automatically mean he doesn't like me (as more than a friend)
