Why can't I get Blue's Number in Heart Gold?

I've gone to his house and talked to daisy. I know you're supposed to have her massage your pokemon 5 times and i know it has to be between 3-4 pm. Ive gone five times but she doesn't massage my pokemon she grooms them, is there a difference? And i've already gone five times and no phone number. Please help! Thanks!
