Some chocolate that melted in my pocket got in my cell phone?

I got a toothpick and cleaned the surface of the earpiece sound outlet, but I still can barely hear through it. So now I'm forced to put it on speaker all the time. What else can I use to clean it, and is it already ruined or is there still hope?
